Anoint Terms of Service
Effective Date: September 1, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Anoint mobile application, website, services, features, content, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
The Service is owned and operated by Delack Media Group, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("Anoint," "we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, accessing, creating an account with, purchasing a subscription to, or otherwise using Anoint, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Anoint and must meet any higher minimum age required under the laws applicable where you live.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf to the extent required by applicable law.
Anoint is not intended for children under 13.
We may restrict or terminate access if we reasonably believe a user does not meet applicable age requirements.
2. About Anoint
Anoint is a Christian faith community application designed to help users engage with Scripture, share and pray for prayer requests, participate in community activities, submit and vote on photographs, receive notifications, and participate in other faith-oriented experiences.
Anoint is not a church, clergy member, counseling service, medical provider, mental health provider, emergency service, crisis service, or substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency assistance.
Content available through Anoint is provided for informational, community, inspirational, and religious purposes.
If you are experiencing a medical, mental health, safety, or other emergency, contact the appropriate emergency services or qualified professional.
3. Accounts
Certain features require an Anoint account.
You may provide information including your name, email address, profile photograph, country, state/province/region, notification preferences, and other information requested through the Service.
Authentication may occur through email-based login or supported third-party login services such as Apple or Google.
You agree to provide accurate information and not impersonate another person.
You are responsible for activity occurring through your account and for maintaining appropriate security over your account and any device through which Anoint is accessed.
4. Prayer Requests and Community Content
Anoint allows users to submit prayer requests and other content.
Public prayers
When you designate a prayer as public, you understand that it may:
- appear on the public Prayer Board;
- be viewed by other Anoint users;
- be prayed for, interacted with, or otherwise engaged with by users;
- be shared outside Anoint through email, text message, social media, or other sharing services; and
- potentially be featured by Anoint in connection with operating or promoting the Service.
Do not include information in a public prayer that you do not want others to see or share.
Private prayers
Prayers designated as private do not appear on the public Prayer Board and are intended to be visible only to the user who submitted them.
Authorized Anoint administrators may access private prayers when reasonably necessary for moderation, customer support, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, or legal compliance.
You should therefore not use Anoint to store information requiring absolute confidentiality.
Prayer management
Users currently cannot edit or delete an individual prayer request after submission through the normal prayer interface.
Users may mark a prayer as answered and may add a short update.
Anoint administrators may remove a prayer if reasonably necessary for moderation, safety, legal compliance, or operation of the Service.
Users may report another user's public prayer through available reporting tools. Reports may be reviewed by Anoint administrators.
Users cannot report their own prayers through the standard reporting feature.
Deleting your Anoint account will cause associated prayers and other account content to be removed from active Anoint systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to limited legal, security, backup, and compliance retention requirements.
5. License for Public Prayer and Other User Content
You retain ownership of content you create and submit to Anoint, subject to the licenses granted in these Terms.
For public prayers and other public content you submit, you grant Delack Media Group, LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, transmit, format, adapt, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, market, advertise, and promote Anoint.
This may include featuring public prayers or excerpts from public prayers on Anoint's website, social media channels, emails, advertising, promotional materials, and other Anoint communications.
We will not intentionally use a prayer you designated as private for public advertising or promotional purposes.
6. Photograph Submissions
Anoint allows users to submit photographs for community voting, Daily Verse imagery, and other Anoint features.
You may only submit photographs that you personally took.
By submitting a photograph to Anoint, you affirm that you are the photographer who took that photograph.
Photograph license
By submitting a photograph, you grant Delack Media Group, LLC and Anoint a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable, and sublicensable license to use the photograph in connection with Anoint and its business.
This license includes the right to reproduce, store, host, display, publish, distribute, transmit, crop, resize, format, edit, modify, overlay Scripture, text, graphics, or branding upon, create derivative works from, advertise with, promote with, and otherwise use the photograph.
This includes, without limitation, the right to:
- display the photograph within Anoint;
- display the photograph on Anoint websites;
- include the photograph in community voting;
- combine the photograph with Bible verses, text, graphics, branding, or other design elements;
- create Daily Verse images using the photograph;
- distribute the photograph or resulting Daily Verse image to Anoint users;
- allow Anoint users to save or download the photograph or resulting Daily Verse image;
- allow users to use the photograph or resulting image as a phone lock screen, home screen, wallpaper, or similar display;
- allow users to share the photograph or resulting Daily Verse image through social media, messaging, email, text message, or other platforms;
- feature the photograph in Anoint social media channels;
- use the photograph in Anoint emails;
- use the photograph in App Store or Google Play listings;
- use the photograph in screenshots, demonstrations, presentations, publicity, advertisements, and promotional materials; and
- permit Anoint's service providers, contractors, distribution partners, and platforms to use the photograph as reasonably necessary for these purposes.
You will not receive royalties, licensing fees, residuals, or other compensation for Anoint's use or distribution of a submitted photograph.
The license granted when you submit a photograph is not dependent on whether the photograph is selected as a winning photograph.
The license is not automatically revoked if you later delete your account.
Attribution
Anoint may identify the photographer using information associated with the user's profile, including the user's first name and general location such as state, province, region, or country.
Anoint may, but is not required to, include attribution with every use or distribution of a photograph.
7. Responsibility for Submitted Content
You are responsible for the photographs, prayers, and other content you submit through Anoint.
If you submit a photograph, you affirm that you personally took the photograph and agree that Anoint may use it as described in Section 6.
You agree not to knowingly submit unlawful content or use Anoint in violation of these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Delack Media Group, LLC, Anoint, and their respective owners, members, officers, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns from third-party claims arising directly from your knowing violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.
8. Community Standards
You may not use Anoint to post, submit, transmit, or promote content that:
- harasses, threatens, bullies, or abuses another person;
- contains unlawful hate speech or discriminatory abuse;
- contains pornography, nudity, or sexually explicit material;
- promotes or depicts unlawful violence;
- exploits minors;
- impersonates another person;
- infringes intellectual property rights;
- reveals another person's private or confidential information without authorization;
- contains scams, spam, malicious links, or deceptive solicitations;
- promotes illegal activity;
- attempts to exploit people seeking prayer or spiritual support;
- interferes with the operation or security of Anoint; or
- otherwise violates applicable law or these Terms.
Anoint may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts when we reasonably determine it is appropriate to protect users, Anoint, or third parties.
9. Reporting and Moderation
Users may report eligible public content through reporting tools available in the Service.
Reports may be reviewed by Anoint administrators.
Submission of a report does not guarantee that content will be removed.
Anoint retains discretion regarding moderation decisions subject to applicable law.
Anoint does not currently use artificial intelligence to automatically moderate prayer requests or submitted photographs.
10. Daily Verse and Scripture
Anoint may provide a Bible verse combined with community-selected photography or other imagery.
Anoint currently uses the World English Bible (WEB).
Scripture content is provided for religious, inspirational, and informational purposes.
Although we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that every Scripture reference, formatting choice, or presentation will be free from errors.
Users should consult an authoritative Bible source if exact wording or interpretation is important to them.
11. Subscriptions and Free Trial
Anoint currently offers a subscription with a 3-day free trial followed by a $29.99 annual subscription, unless a different price or promotional offer is displayed to you at the time of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before renewal in accordance with the applicable app store's requirements.
Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on the platform used.
RevenueCat is used to facilitate subscription functionality, entitlement management, and purchase status.
Delack Media Group, LLC does not directly process your App Store or Google Play payment card information.
Prices, taxes, trial availability, renewal terms, and other purchase conditions may vary by platform or jurisdiction and will be presented during the applicable purchase process.
12. Automatic Renewal
Unless canceled in accordance with the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play subscription procedures, your subscription will automatically renew for additional subscription periods at the price then displayed for your subscription.
You are responsible for canceling before renewal if you do not want the subscription to renew.
13. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription through the subscription-management functionality provided by Apple or Google, depending upon where you purchased your subscription.
Deleting the Anoint application from your device or deleting your Anoint account does not necessarily cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription.
Cancellation generally prevents future renewal but does not necessarily provide a refund for amounts already charged.
14. Refunds
Purchases made through Apple are subject to Apple's applicable billing, cancellation, and refund policies.
Purchases made through Google Play are subject to Google's applicable billing, cancellation, and refund policies.
To the extent payment and refund decisions are controlled by the applicable app marketplace, Anoint does not control those decisions.

- new public prayers;
- prayer updates;
- notifications when someone prays for you;
- notifications when a prayer is marked answered;
- Daily Verse notifications;
- Daily Photo and voting notifications;
- daily prayer reminders; and
- occasional Anoint announcements.
Some notifications may be sent approximately once per day, while others may be triggered by activity occurring within the Service.
You may control eligible notification preferences through Anoint and may also disable notifications through your device settings.
16. Third-Party Services
Anoint relies on third-party services to operate portions of the Service.
These services currently may include:
- Supabase;
- RevenueCat;
- Apple;
- Google;
- Firebase; and
- OpenAI.
Your interaction with certain third-party services may also be governed by their respective terms and privacy practices.
17. Artificial Intelligence
Anoint may use artificial intelligence services for limited internal or administrative purposes, including assisting with preparation of Daily Verse content.
Anoint currently plans to use OpenAI for limited backend or administrative Daily Verse-related functions.
Anoint does not currently use artificial intelligence to automatically moderate user prayers or submitted photographs.
AI-generated or AI-assisted material may contain errors, and Anoint does not guarantee its accuracy.
18. Intellectual Property
Except for user-generated content and third-party materials, Anoint and its software, branding, graphics, interfaces, design, trademarks, logos, features, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Delack Media Group, LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not grant you ownership of Anoint intellectual property.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Anoint or its proprietary materials except as expressly permitted by law or by us.
19. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that:
- violate these Terms;
- create legal or security risk;
- interfere with the Service;
- harm other users;
- engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive behavior; or
- otherwise misuse Anoint.
You may delete your Anoint account from within the application.
20. Availability and Changes to the Service
We may modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features of Anoint from time to time.
We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available indefinitely or that the Service will always operate without interruption.
21. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANOINT AND THE SERVICE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."
DELACK MEDIA GROUP, LLC DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND SECURITY TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
We do not guarantee that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available.
22. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DELACK MEDIA GROUP, LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF ANOINT.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
23. Arbitration; Jury Trial and Class Action Waiver
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you and Delack Media Group, LLC agree that any controversy, dispute, or claim arising out of or relating to Anoint, these Terms, the Privacy Policy, your subscription, or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than litigation in court, except as expressly provided below.
The arbitration shall be conducted before a single arbitrator through ADR Systems, currently located at 20 North Clark Street, 29th Floor, Chicago, Illinois 60602, under the applicable consumer arbitration rules and procedures then in effect.
The arbitrator may award any relief available under applicable law and shall have authority to determine the allocation of arbitration costs and reasonable attorneys' fees where permitted by applicable law or the applicable arbitration rules.
Judgment upon an arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.
You and Delack Media Group, LLC waive the right to a jury trial to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You and Delack Media Group, LLC further agree that disputes will be brought only on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, collective, or representative proceeding, to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from:
- bringing an eligible matter in small claims court; or
- seeking temporary, preliminary, injunctive, or other equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction when reasonably necessary to protect intellectual property, confidential information, the security or integrity of the Service, or to prevent immediate or irreparable harm.
If applicable law prohibits enforcement of any portion of this arbitration provision, that portion shall be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary.
24. Governing Law
Except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to the arbitration provisions above, any court proceeding permitted under these Terms shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Cook County, Illinois, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
25. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
26. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision or any other provision later.
27. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service, by email, on the website, or through another reasonable method.
The effective date at the top of these Terms indicates when the Terms were last updated.
Your continued use of Anoint following the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
